Who we are
CardSchedule is run by Angus Robert Polkey, a sole trader in the UK. For anything about your data, email cardscheduleuk@gmail.com. We are the controller of the personal data described here.
What we collect and why
| Data | Why | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Your email address, and your answers on the waitlist form | To send your report, pilot updates and, if you ask, news of the Insured plan | Consent (you can withdraw it any time) |
| Collection exports, photos of your cards, your policy's single-item limit, the name for the report cover | To produce your valuation report | Contract: you asked us for a report |
| Payment records (Stripe tells us the amount, date and your email; we never see your card number) | To take payment, give refunds and keep tax records | Contract, and legal obligation for tax records |
Who processes it for us
- Stripe: payments.
- Formspree: stores waitlist sign-ups.
- Gmail (Google): our inbox, where exports and photos arrive.
- TypeSafe: when you send photos, each card is sent to TypeSafe's Jev model to read its collector number and finish. We do not send your name or email with it.
- Google (Gemini) or Anthropic (Claude): used only for a photo TypeSafe cannot read, when we choose to. The photo is sent to their API to identify the cards in it. Anthropic does not use API data to train its models.
- Cloudflare Pages: hosts this website.
Some of these providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, they use safeguards such as the UK's International Data Transfer Addendum.
How long we keep it
- Exports and photos: deleted within 90 days of sending your report, unless you join the Insured plan, which needs them to re-value your collection.
- Your report: kept for 2 years so we can resend it or answer questions about it, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
- Payment records: 6 years, because HMRC requires it.
- Waitlist entries: until you unsubscribe, or 12 months after the pilot ends.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent, by emailing cardscheduleuk@gmail.com. We reply within one month. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
